Job Title: Technician Helper 

Reports To: Technical Field Operations Leader 

Pay Range: $16–$18/hour (based on experience)

About the Role:

ClearPath Connections is seeking a motivated and dependable Technician Helper to join our growing team. This is an exciting, entry-level opportunity for someone early in their career who is eager to learn a skilled trade in the low-voltage industry. You’ll be working side-by-side with experienced Technicians, gaining hands-on experience and building a clear pathway to becoming a full-fledged Technician.

Mission for the Role:

The Technician Helper supports the field team by actively learning and assisting with the installation of low-voltage infrastructure, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to ClearPath Connections’ quality standards. The goal is to develop the knowledge, skills, and experience necessary to transition into a Technician role within 12–24 months.

Desired Outcomes:

  1. Completes foundational tool acquisition within the first 12 months
  2. Demonstrates ability to independently perform basic tasks such as cable pulling and device mounting within 3 months
  3. Successfully supports a Technician with minimal direction by month 9
  4. Consistently arrives on time to job sites and follows safety and quality protocols
  5. Progresses to Technician-level responsibilities and job readiness within 12–24 months

What You’ll Do:

  • Shadow and assist Technicians on job sites, learning through hands-on experience
  • Participate in the installation of cable pathways, device controllers, and nurse call systems
  • Pull and terminate cables and install infrastructure for low-voltage systems
  • Take on all aspects of a Technician’s responsibilities under supervision
  • Receive training both in-office and on-the-job to accelerate your learning
  • Maintain a strong work ethic and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment

  • Someone who held a steady job while in school, demonstrating maturity and reliability

  • Reliable personal transportation is required to commute to various job sites
  • Willingness and ability to acquire a basic set of tools within the first year of employment
  • Note: This role does require you to have your own steel toed boots
